Fiqh Course Levels - Summary
Our Fiqh program is divided into four structured levels, each designed to match the student’s age and current knowledge, and help them gradually apply Fiqh in real life.
- Level 1: Fiqh Basics — Learn what every Muslim should know: cleanliness, Wudu, prayer times, and basic daily rulings.
- Level 2: Fiqh of Worship — Deepen your understanding of Salah, Zakah, Fasting, and Hajj with evidence and application.
- Level 3: Fiqh of Life — Study Islamic rulings related to family, food, money, modesty, and ethical behavior.
- Level 4: Fiqh Awareness & Debate — Compare the views of the 4 Madhhabs, build critical thinking, and explore real-life case studies.
Fiqh Basics – Essentials every Muslim should know
This beginner level lays the foundation of Islamic knowledge every Muslim needs. Students learn the core rulings related to purity, prayer, and daily practices.
Topics and Skills Learned:
- Importance of intention in Islamic acts (Niyyah)
- Fiqh of cleanliness: Wudu, Ghusl, and removing impurities
- Prayer times, steps, and invalidators
- Short practical questions for everyday life (e.g. wearing shoes in Salah, wiping over socks,..etc)
- Etiquette and Fiqh of using the restroom
- Simple stories from the Sunnah showing the wisdom behind Fiqh rulings
Requirements

Fiqh of Worship – Deepen Your Faith
In this level, we focus on the major acts of worship in Islam and teach how to perform them correctly, along with the conditions and exceptions. Students apply rulings with confidence and purpose.
Topics and Skills Learned:
- Rulings of Salah (conditions, pillars, Sunnah actions)
- Fiqh of Zakat: who gives it, who receives it, and how it’s calculated
- Understanding Sawm (fasting) and exemptions
- Fiqh of Hajj & Umrah with simplified steps
- Practical role-play and group discussions
- Essential Understanding of Madhhabs different opinions and learning how to respect those differences
Requirements
Students must complete Level 1 or pass a placement evaluation.
Fiqh of Life – Apply Faith Daily
This level covers daily life situations and how Islamic law guides ethical decision-making. Students explore real examples and ask deeper questions.
Topics and Skills Learned:
- Fiqh of clothing, modesty, and gender interactions
- Rulings on halal & haram food, medicine, and ingredients
- Fiqh of family: marriage, parental rights, and kindness
- Intro to Islamic finance: halal earnings and debt ethics
- Islamic manners (Adab) linked to Fiqh principles
- Open discussion sessions: “What would you do if…?”
Requirements
Completion of Level 2 or passing its evaluation.
Fiqh Awareness & Debate – Think Like a Scholar
This advanced level is designed to develop critical thinking through comparative Fiqh and real-life problem-solving. Students analyze different scholarly opinions and learn to make informed decisions based on Islamic evidence.

- Intro to Usul al-Fiqh (principles of Islamic law)
- Compare the rulings of the four major Madhhabs
